Stacey’s Footcare Services, founded by Stacey, a Registered Nurse since 2006, offers compassionate, professional mobile footcare to Calgary and Treaty 7 Indigenous communities. Born in Calgary with roots in the Blood Tribe and Tsuu T’ina, Stacey re-certified in Advanced Footcare in 2024. With 16 years of nursing experience, including extensive work in Indigenous communities, she focuses on addressing the high rates of Type 2 Diabetes and related foot health issues. Committed to respect, compassion, and integrity, Stacey provides affordable, best-practice footcare services in the comfort of clients' homes, promoting healthy feet and mobility one step at a time.



Hi, my name is Stacey.
Stacey became a Registared Nurse in 2006, her caring instinct and compassionate nature lead her to become a nurse. Stacey was born in raised in Calgary and she proud mother to three children Matthew,
Tyson and Kaitlyn. Her ancestors are from the Blood Tribe and Tsuu T’ina; in addition many of her family had caregiving/healing roles in their communities. In the spring of 2024, she re-certified the Advanced Footcare course and soon created Stacey’s Footcare Services. Stacey’s had a passionate interest to provide mobile professional footcare services to the resident’s of Calgary and surrounding Treaty 7 Indigenous communities.
Stacey has 16 years of experience as professional Registered Nurse in Alberta and is an upstanding member of College of Registered Nurses. She has dedicated half of her career to working in Indigenous Communities in Treaty 7 and 8 in various settings as acute pediatrics, homecare and public/community health.
The rate of Type 2 Diabetes –non Insulin and/or Insulin Dependent in Indigenous communities are 3-5 times higher. Stacey has worked with Type 2 diabetic clients and elders in homecare setting where a mobile footcare service would be needed to reduce foot/toe infections, diabetic neuropathy assessments and assistance to those who need help managing their footcare needs.

Diabetic Neuropathy Sensory Test
The diabetic neuropathy sensory test detects nerve damage in diabetic patients using tools like monofilaments or tuning forks to assess touch and vibration sensitivity in the feet. Early detection prevents foot ulcers and complications, aiding in effective neuropathy management.

Toenail Trimming
Toenail trimming is crucial for preventing ingrown nails, infections, and injuries. Proper trimming techniques involve cutting nails straight across and not too short. Professional trimming ensures safety and promotes overall foot health, especially for individuals with diabetes.

Callus and corn reduction removes thickened skin areas that cause discomfort. Using specialized tools, this procedure gently reduces buildup without damaging the skin, preventing pain and infection. Regular reduction is vital for maintaining healthy feet, especially in diabetics.

Foot care education teaches proper hygiene, nail care, and self-examination techniques. It includes selecting appropriate footwear and managing conditions like diabetes. Educating individuals helps prevent foot problems and encourages proactive care, reducing serious complications.

Fungal Reduction
Fungal reduction treats infections affecting nails and skin, using antifungal medications or laser therapy. Effective treatment alleviates symptoms like itching and thickened nails, preventing spread and recurrence. Regular monitoring ensures healthy, fungus-free feet.
